The Pulpit

All are welcome! We gather as one each week to hear God’s word, to give and receive mutual encouragement, and to sing and confess with one voice that Jesus Christ is the one true Lord.

The Pulpit symbolizes the environment where we gather as family to worship through preaching, singing, praying, and mutual encouragement. MHC is a place where you can come with your doubts, questions, and struggles without shame or stigmatization. We simply come to sit under the guidance of God’s Word with an openness of heart. We take the Bible at face value, and by God’s grace, humbly submit our lives to its instruction.

Our corporate worship is guided by Scripture and is the primary sphere where teaching and instruction takes place. Our primary structure of preaching is sequential chapter by chapter, verse by verse, expository sermons. We believe God’s Word is biblical guidance for everyday life and relevant for the issues we face in our ever-changing culture.

Real Christianity is more than obeying a list of rules or believing the right things. The Christian life is transformed by the gospel of grace, experienced in community, and lived out in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces. Though we represent different cultures and speak different languages, we sing and confess with one voice our praise and worship to the one true Lord, Jesus Christ.
